Collaborative classification is suitable for detailed human confirmation. Intelligent classification uses rules, lineage, or algorithms to recommend classifications in batches. Access policies decide whether a request can reach data, row-level policies filter rows, table masking policies apply to an entire field set, and column masking policies apply only to selected columns.

Before using the Security Gateway, configure access policies, gateway groups, gateways, and data sources. Connect with the Datablau JDBC Driver or DBeaver. Audit logs help inspect SQL requests passing through the gateway and the resulting masking behavior.
