Publish, change, and deprecate standards

Basic standards, reference codes, domain standards, and metric standards have corresponding approval scenarios. Nodes and reviewers are organization-configured.

Request publication

  1. Filter the appropriate list by Awaiting Review.
  2. Select business-reviewed objects and Request Publication.
  3. Verify scope and submit.
  4. Reviewers inspect and approve/reject through Personal Workspace.
  5. Check My Requests, then verify the object list status.

Approval sets Published; rejection retains Awaiting Review. Correct rejected content and resubmit. Submission is not publication.

Request a change

Select a published standard and Request Change. Review column references, codes, and dependencies and explain definition impacts. After approval, verify content/status and rerun standards validation on affected metadata.

Request deprecation

Select a published standard and Request Deprecation. Approval sets Deprecated; rejection retains Published. History remains. Define replacement and migration ownership where applicable; deprecation does not automatically replace mappings.

Check both workflow and object

For missing tasks, check participants, rights, and deployment. If status remains unchanged, inspect whether approval is still pending. See Approval workflow management.
