Manage standards folders and publication states
Folders organize standards. Basic standards define column names, meanings, types, lengths, and values; reference codes and dictionaries provide reusable value/naming constraints.
Design folders
In Data Standards > Standards Folder Management, organize by domain, subject, or department. Folder rights govern viewing, maintenance, and publication requests, not object-level data access.
Enter name, code, owner, description, and order. Keep referenced codes stable. Check standards, mappings, and approvals before deleting.
Create a basic standard
- Select a folder and New Standard.
- Enter names, definition, type, length/precision, rules, owner, and scope.
- Associate codes, dictionary terms, or standards as needed.
- Save a draft and preview required fields and examples.
- Submit approval, then map columns after publication.
For imports, use the current template with unique codes, valid folders/types. Inspect draft/published states and failed rows after import.
Publish, change, and deprecate
Check definitions, owners, codes, and mapping scope. Record reasons, affected columns, and approvals for changes. Review metadata, rules, and catalog references before deprecation.
